Frequently Asked Questions
Ordering & delivery
There is no date picker at checkout, but you can leave your preferred date in the order notes and we will do everything we can to meet it. If the date is tight, message us on WhatsApp before you order and we will confirm what is possible.
Very often, yes. Message us on WhatsApp or call before you place the order and we will tell you honestly what we can do. We would much rather find a way than turn you away.
Yes — collection from our Battersea atelier can be arranged. Place your order through WhatsApp rather than the website and we will organise a collection time with you.
Yes. We deliver to the European Union, the United States and the United Arab Emirates, with delivery in up to 7 working days. EU prices include all import duties and taxes (IOSS), so there is nothing to pay on arrival. US orders are FDA cleared and thermally packed; small import duties may occasionally apply under current trade rules.
Yes. We deliver to any address in Great Britain from £7.99 per address on a next working day service — ideal for client and team gifting. Send us the address list and we will handle the rest.
The courier will follow its standard process for a missed delivery and leave a card or notification. Please double-check the delivery address before ordering: once a parcel has been dispatched we cannot be responsible for deliveries made to an incorrect address.
Please get in touch by email or WhatsApp with a photo and we will sort it out as quickly as possible. Chocolate travels a long way to reach you and, very occasionally, things go wrong — when they do, we put it right.
Our chocolates are freshly made to order and are perishable food, so we are not normally able to accept returns. If something is not right with your order, contact us and we will find a solution.
Every order is handmade to order, so we dispatch within 2–3 working days. UK mainland orders then arrive the next working day after dispatch; the Scottish Highlands, the islands and Northern Ireland take 2–3 working days after dispatch. Delivery time is counted from dispatch, not from the moment you order.
UK delivery is free on all orders over £55. Below that, delivery costs between £4.99 and £7.99 depending on your address. International delivery is £15–£25 depending on the destination and the size of your order.
UK orders are delivered by DX. For international orders we use DHL, UPS, FedEx or Royal Mail, depending on the destination.
Our chocolates
It depends on the range: filled bonbon boxes keep for 3 weeks, honey cake bites for 30 days, chocolate bars, dragées and spreads for up to 6 months, and hot chocolate for 9 months. Every product carries its own best before date on the packaging.
Keep them at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heat sources and humidity. Please do not refrigerate them — the fridge causes condensation and sugar bloom, which dulls the shine and the flavour.
During heatwaves we may hold shipments for a cooler day, and we use protective thermal packaging to help your chocolates travel safely. If a delay is likely, we will always let you know.
We work with premium Belgian chocolate in some collections, and single-origin Brazilian grand cru cacao in selected collections. Our cacao is either Rainforest Alliance Certified or sourced through Cocoa Horizons. We use no artificial colours or flavourings (except on personalised/branded chocolates) and no alcohol in any product.
Every product page has a dedicated section with the full ingredient list, allergen information and nutritional values.
Yes. Our kitchen handles milk, eggs, soya, all nuts, peanuts, gluten, sesame, mustard, celery and sulphites. We cannot guarantee the absence of any of these, so we ask that anyone with an allergy to these ingredients does not consume our products.
Our London range is halal-suitable by design: we use halal gelatine, halal vanilla extract and no alcohol in any product. We do not hold formal halal certification.
Our standard range does not include vegan, gluten-free or dairy-free products. We can produce a vegan option to order, with a minimum of 100 units — please get in touch to discuss it.
Yes. Four of our creations were awarded at the Great Taste Awards 2025 by the Guild of Fine Food: our Tangy Yogberry earned two stars, and the Salted Caramel Signature Collection, the Nutty Feuilletine Ballotin and the Crunchy Pistachio & Raspberry bar each earned one.
Gifting
Yes, and it is complimentary. Add your message at checkout and we will present it with the gift.
No. We never include an invoice, a receipt or any prices inside a gift parcel.
Yes, we sell gift cards — a good option when you would rather let someone choose their own favourites.
Not at the moment. If you would like to send chocolates regularly, message us and we will arrange a schedule that works for you.
Yes — and our signature is that your logo, monogram or artwork is printed inside the chocolate itself, not just on the box, using edible printing and finished by hand piece by piece. Personalisation starts at 20 units. We work from PNG, PDF or vector (.ai) files, and because we print with food colours onto chocolate, which is never pure white, we cannot guarantee an exact Pantone match.
Weddings, events & kids
Yes — weddings have been at the heart of what we do since 2008. We create wedding favours, bespoke chocolate tables, personalised bonbons and bars in your colours, and gold trays for Arabic and khaleeji celebrations. It starts with a free online consultation and a bespoke quote. Check our wedding collection here.
We recommend booking 3 to 6 months ahead, particularly for dates between May and September. If your date is sooner than that, ask us anyway — we will always try to find a way.
There is no minimum order value. Personalised pieces have a minimum of 20 units.
Yes. A tasting box costs £50 and can be enjoyed at our Battersea atelier or sent to your home. Tastings are made without the personalised printing, as printing does not change the taste, and you receive a digital proof of your artwork at no cost before anything is approved.
Chocolate table styling starts from £480 for a celebration with 100 guests. This does not include trays, stands or floral decoration, which usually come from your venue or stylist — we can recommend partners if you need them. Please get in touch and we'll be more than happy to create a custom quote for your event.
We cover England and Wales as standard, and have worked in hotels, event spaces, restaurants, private homes and corporate venues across the country. Delivery is quoted according to distance from our Battersea atelier. For Scotland and Northern Ireland, please ask.
Yes. We hold public liability insurance and a 5/5 Food Hygiene Rating, and we provide HACCP documentation and venue-specific RAMS on request.
Yes. We create bespoke chocolate for christenings, birthdays and children's celebrations, including chocolate moulded into the shape of your theme and personalised favours. See our kids range here.
Corporate
Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. We have delivered projects from 20 to over 1,000 recipients for clients including Microsoft, Marriott, Hilton and Reed Exhibitions, with your logo printed inside the chocolate. Personalised gifts start at £4.50 per recipient. Discover our range.
Allow 7 working days for orders with bespoke packaging, or 2–3 days for our standard packaging, depending on the size of the order. We will always try to accommodate a last-minute request — ask us before you assume it is too late.
Yes. Our corporate tasting box is complimentary on request.
Yes to both. We issue invoices and accept purchase orders.
Yes. Please contact us with details of your business and we will send our wholesale terms.
About us & payment
Our atelier is in Battersea, London, where every chocolate is handmade. The maison was founded in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2008 and expanded to London in 2024.
We do not have a permanent shop. Our chocolates are available online, at our pop-ups and through our events and corporate work — follow us on Instagram to see where we will be next.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Klarna, among others. All payments are processed securely by Shopify.
Only one discount can be used per order, so the 10% welcome offer cannot be combined with another code.
Email hello@giulianapimenta.co.uk, message us on WhatsApp on +44 7404 330080 or call +44 7356 247708. We answer WhatsApp fastest, and we would always rather say yes than no.
